Sometimes fruits just don’t taste as sweet as we want them to, so here’s a recipe to fix bland white guava!
Ingredients:
- 2 white guavas
- 1/4 cup of salt
- 1/3 cup of white sugar
Directions:
- Cut guava up into bite sized pieces.
- Marinate in salt for 5-10 minutes and then rinse them off.
- Add sugar. Refrigeration for at least an hour.
- Indulge !

Interesting post, would this help if you were say.. making a pickle or chutney out of it?
I wouldn’t really call it pickled just because it isn’t soaked in vinegar or marinated for a long time, but it definitely gives bland – end-of-the-season guava a kick
